About AWANA

Get to know more about this ministry.

AWANA is an international organization, with many registered clubs throughout the world. Beginning in 1950, AWANA stresses Bible memorization of key verses from scripture. The memory work is designed to establish a personal relationship between the clubber and Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives. AWANA also helps to build up the clubber in Bible knowledge instilling in them a love and respect for God and His Word.

AWANA stands for “Approved Workmen are not Ashamed,” which is taken from II Timothy 2:15, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the Word of truth.”
The AWANA program runs from the third Wednesday of September through the first week of May this year. AWANA is held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:05 pm and is for ages 3 years old through 8th grade.
